Introduction to Exporting:

 

The introduction to exporting training covers the basics of exporting, highlighting key factors that should be considered when venturing into regional or international markets and introducing participants to key export terms. It also provides participants with requirements for export including.

  • General procedures and documentations,
  • A brief overview of trade agreements and
  • An overview of key export factors
  • HS Codes
  • Food safety Certification
  • Packaging and Labelling.

The session also includes the completion of a cost sheet for the export process and an export readiness assessment that allows participants to evaluate key aspects of their operation to determine the level of readiness for the export market.

Trade and Business Intelligence:

 

Trade Intelligence is important to those companies interested in operating in the global arena. Consequently, the Trade and Business Intelligence training provides keys tools and information necessary when looking at international markets to export. Some topics include:

  • Identifying potential marketing
  • Analyzing market conditions
  • Reaching target marketing
  • Export promotion

Throughout the session, the facilitator provides useful inline links to assist with market research as well as a market pointer template to aid in developing your own market pointer for specific products.

Trade show Preparation


EXPORTBelize assists those companies in preparing for their participation in international trade shows. Participants are guided through various actions to take before, during and after trade shows in addition to marketing tools to better sell their products or services. During the session, facilitators work with participants to set objectives that they would like to meet at shows and thereafter, conduct follow up sessions to ensure those objectives were met.

Facility Inspection

 

 

To ensure that companies are putting in place basic general manufacturing practices (GMP), Sanitation standard operation procedures (SSOP), EXPORTBelize facilities inspection of food facilities so as to prepare companies to be more export- ready. An EXPORTBelize representative conducts a walk though visit with companies providing recommendation on changes to make to their facilities and works along with them to address any corrective action identified.
