Business Name Registration in Belize
Register your firm or individual business with the Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry (BCCAR) as required under the Business Names Act, Chapter 247.
About BCCAR
The Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry provides incorporation, registration, and post-registration services for business names, domestic and international business entities, and Limited Liability Partnerships. BCCAR is authorized by the Government of Belize to provide these services.
For efficiency, BCCAR offers an Online Business Registry System (ORBS) for online applications.
Documents Required
Identification Card
Social Security and/or Belize Passport.
Prescribed form(s) to be completed: Form 1, Form 2, or Form 3 (available on BCCAR’s website).
Payment of $25.00.
Any other document(s) deemed necessary by the Registrar according to section 12(1) of the Act.
Foreign Applicants
To register a business name in Belize, foreigners must apply with a Belizean partner or a permanent resident.
