🌱 ABOUT THE ROLE
BELTRAIDE, under the PACT Adaptation Fund Project, is seeking a COSAL Business Field Advisor to provide hands-on business development support to six rural community groups across Corozal, Cayo, and Toledo Districts.
This role is ideal for a results-driven professional passionate about community development, climate resilience, and sustainable, nature-based enterprises. You will work directly with MSMEs to transform entrepreneurial ideas into viable, market-ready businesses that support alternative livelihoods and conservation-friendly growth.
🎯 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide on-the-ground business advisory and mentorship to community groups
- Support the implementation of market studies, business models, and consultant recommendations
- Develop practical business plans aligned with market opportunities and grant funding
- Facilitate linkages with buyers, suppliers, and private-sector stakeholders
- Support training delivery (Train-the-Trainers) and community capacity-building sessions
- Monitor and document business implementation and seed capital utilization
- Assist with reporting, coordination, outreach materials, and field logistics
🎓 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness, Business Administration, International Business, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in MSME support, community development, or livelihood projects
- Strong understanding of business development, finance, market access, and entrepreneurship
- Bilingual (English & Spanish preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively

🚗 WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
- Based at BELTRAIDE offices in Belmopan
- Regular travel to Belize City, Corozal, Cayo, and Toledo
- Close collaboration with IICA, COSAL Extension Officers, government agencies, and NGOs
